Well...

Wed Oct 21, 2009, 9:13 AM
As always, nothing new to post as an actual deviation, as all my best stuff is in scraps. I like to think that I have some small fan base with the other 'Total War' players here, of course that could just be me being delusional, so who knows. Speaking of which, I posted a few more total war scraps as well in the past few weeks.

As always, down with authority, blah blah blah. For a site that's all about deviating from the norm, it is becoming quite a corporate-like site. If the fact that on everyone's profile it says "needs premium membership" isn't bad enough, now they've got merchandise (T-shirts).

Seriously. It's kind of like the emo kid who likes to be unique by shopping at Hot Topic, where just about every other shit stain shops for clothes as well.

I will be moving back up to Ashland in the next few weeks. To bring readers up to speed: I graduated in June and moved back down to CA. I visited Ashland every month to keep my 3-year relationship with Merrilei from turning into a complete long distance relationship. However, life down here in Benicia has become pointless, because if I get a job here it'd mean less time to visit Merrilei, or when I did it'd be only for three or four days, which would suck. So, fuck California, I'm moving back to Oregon.

The plan from there then is to get a simple, good paying job (I'm thinking UPS, they're a good company and I want them on my resume), all the while working on grad school preliminaries (it helps to have all my references in the same area so I can talk to them in person, rather than via email), to eventually apply for grad school in 2010 or 2011.

Then from there, go to grad school in Arizona, then from there...well, get a good job as a professional archivist, then eventually get married and settle down with Merrilei somewhere...not sure exactly, that's many years down the road, we'll see.

Am I the only one that thinks the show "ghost hunters" is complete bullshit? Seriously. The camera is always focused on the living. Jesus H. Christ. I WANT TO SEE GHOSTS DAMNIT. Instead the only thing I see are the two main guys looking all serious and ooh "I'm so tough looking, blah blah blah" and I just can't take it. It's such crap. For example, one of the idiots exclaims "what the **** was that?" and looks off somewhere. What does the camera man do? He doesn't pan over towards where the guy is looking, but he films the guy. It makes no sense at all.

On the other hand, the ghost docudramas that are nothing but interviews and reenactments? Even those are better, because it doesn't tease, or not deliver. It is what it is, nothing more and nothing less.

Well, that's all I got for now.

“He practically omitted the Sith," Tris said dryly.
“And the falling elevator,” Orion added knowingly. “Falling elevators are never a good thing to have in your known history. Makes people think you’re risky.”
